Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Machine Operator - Davi Plate Roller to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot the machine in accordance with ASME code for pressure vessels. Reading blueprints and laying out from the blueprints are required.

The role emphasizes safety, Lean manufacturing (5S), basic welding, crane and lift operation, and performing routine maintenance, with other duties as directed by the Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Must operate overhead crane, scissor lifts and ladders.
• Basic welding skills required for minor welds.
• Must know 5S housekeeping procedures and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Must demonstrate competence in safety, quality and production standards.
• Must troubleshoot and adjust the machine during operation.
• Must perform basic machine maintenance.
• Must safely load and unload material to/from the machine.

Responsibilities

• Perform any other job duties as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Ensure consistent production and quality output within ASME guidelines.
