Cleaver-Brooks in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Machine Operator - Davi Plate Roller to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot the machine in accordance with ASME code for pressure vessels. Reading blueprints and laying out from the blueprints are required.

The role emphasizes safety, Lean manufacturing (5S), basic welding, crane and lift operation, and performing routine maintenance, with other duties as directed by the Team Leader.

Qualifications

Job description

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Machine Operator - Davi Plate Roller to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The Machine Operator will program, set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot a Davi Plate Roller in accordance with ASME code, for pressure vessels and related components in preparation for vessel test and fit and final assembly; accurately read blueprints; do layout from the blueprints.

Job Location: Thomasville, GA

Essential Functions

• Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety rules.
• Must have the ability to operate the overhead crane, scissor lifts and ladders.
• Must have some basic welding skills.
• Must know, understand, and abide by 5S housekeeping procedures and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Must demonstrate full competence in meeting safety, quality and production standards.
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine.
• Must have the ability to perform basic machine maintenance on the machine
• Must have the ability to safely load and unload material in and out of the machine

Other Duties

• Perform any other job duties as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor.

Education

Basic Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent preferred; technical training at an accredited school preferred.
• Must have good reading, writing and math skills.

Experience

• One to two years of Machine Operation experience and experience operating overhead cranes.
