Overview

We’re looking for a Plate Roll Operator who takes pride in precision and knows how to work steel the right way. If you have experience in heavy fabrication, can read prints, and understand how to form material to exact specifications, this is an opportunity to be part of a team that builds critical components for ASME pressure vessel applications. Position Summary

The Plate Roll Operator is responsible for forming steel plate to required specifications and preparing components for welding. This role works closely with production and welding teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate plate rolling equipment to form steel to required radius and specifications
  • Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and specifications
  • Verify product dimensions, angles, and tolerances throughout the process
  • Adjust and correct radius as needed to meet specifications
  • Grind surfaces and prepare bevel edges for welding
  • Tack weld components in preparation for final welding
  • Safely operate equipment including forklift, overhead crane, and plate roller
  • Move materials and finished product within the work area
  • Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support production schedules, including overtime and shift flexibility as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in heavy fabrication
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Experience operating or willingness to be certified on forklift and overhead crane
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Experience with steel forming, rolling, or grinding preferred
