Job summary

Belmark in De Pere, WI is hiring for a plate mounting technician in our flexible packaging plant. You will mount plates onto cylinders, wash plates, and file them by job number, supporting presses to stay running smoothly.

We offer a PM shift (3:00 PM–3:00 AM) with a 3 on/1 off pattern and a 12-hour schedule with no swing shift. Overtime after 36 hours and a robust benefits package await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, comprehension and ability to follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to meet deadlines. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for 90% of work time; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 10% of work time.
• Ability to see clearly at close range and judge distances.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and contribute to food safety culture.
• Mount plates accurately according to rewind position.
• Mount plates for a job in a timely manner to keep presses running.
• Ensure plates and cylinders are not damaged.
• Ensure next shift presses have at least one job mounted to reduce downtime.
• Wash plates from completed jobs.
• Peel sticky back off cylinders.
• File plates according to job number.
• Fill alcohol, acetate and soap bottles.
• Keep plate wash and mounting areas clean.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
