Job summary

Belmark Inc. in De Pere, WI, is seeking a dedicated plate-mount operator to mount plates onto cylinders, wash and file them by job number, and keep presses running smoothly on a PM shift.

The role offers 12-hour PM shifts (3 on/1 off; 3 on/7 off), with a starting pay of $23.00–$25.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. Pre-employment drug test and background check are required. Benefits include on-site clinic, health and life insurance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Requires education equivalent to two years of high school.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to meet deadlines. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for 90% of work time; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Ability to lift: 10 pounds or less 25% of work time; 25 pounds or less 30% of work time; 50 pounds or less 35% of work time.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a food safety culture per Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Ensure plates are mounted accurately according to rewind position.
• Mount plates for each job in a timely manner to keep presses running.
• Ensure plates and cylinders are not damaged.
• Make sure the next shift has at least one job mounted to reduce downtime.
• Wash plates from completed jobs and file plates by job number.
• Fill alcohol, acetate and soap bottles; keep wash and mounting areas clean.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
