Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging in Buffalo is seeking a 2nd Shift Plate Mounter to mount printing plates on cylinders or sleeves, verify plate quality, and ensure accurate registration for each job.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills required to set up and operate equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer tasks and data entry.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
• Clear communication for teamwork and safety.
• Problem solving to handle plate mounting issues.

Responsibilities

• Mount printing plates to cylinders or sleeves.
• Verify quality and registration of mounted plates.
• Prepare first sample sheet for Supervisor review.
• Assist press department with plate repairs.
• Tear down jobs and set up next job.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures.
• Meet daily production goals with teams.
• Support health & safety and GMP practices.

Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Mounting printing plates to cylinders or sleeves
  • Review quality of each plate being mounted for imperfections or defects.
• Assuring plates are mounted in registration.
• Prepare first sample sheet for Supervisor review.
• Assist press department with plate repairs on the press.
• Tearing down jobs on cylinders/sleeves and setting up next job.
• Must meet any new task of job functions that may arise.
• Must follow set up procedures for given mounter/proofer.
• Meet all changing conditions in your environment.
• Must assure that material produced is of highest quality for customer needs and specs outlined on order or with individual job classification specs.
• Work in a team environment, giving more than you might think is expected from position.
• Must meet daily goals that are set within a very close margin of other operators and crews on same machine.
• Be self-motivated to complete task in timely manner.
• Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.
• SOP’s may cover the area of (but are not limited to):
  • Employee Health & Safety
  • SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift to up-to 80 lbs (intermittently)
• Bending and twisting,
