A Part of Something Bigger in Minnesota is seeking a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer based on experience to join a tenured team located within commuting distance of the greater Minneapolis area.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operations, manufacturing, product engineering, suppliers, and customers to maintain quality standards and metrics, with strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., quality, engineering, operations).
• 5 years of experience in a Quality role within manufacturing.
• Strong mathematical background for data analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality standards, specifications and metrics for products and processes that are economical to maintain.
• Act as liaison between customers or suppliers on quality issues and perform inspection tasks as needed.
• Visit suppliers/customers to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality audit materials and metrics; verify supplier quality systems.
• Ensure accuracy of quality documentation (hold tags, inspection reports, data, test reports).
• Prepare technical documentation for target audiences and monitor conformance to standards.
• Lead cross-functional teams in root-cause analysis and corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues.
