Job summary

Sunrise Plastic Enterprise seeks an experienced Quality Control (QC) Supervisor to lead the QC function on the production floor in Houston. You will oversee sampling, inspections, and material traceability to ensure incoming, in-process, and finished materials meet quality specs and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include directing daily QC activities, coaching staff, maintaining documented procedures, and coordinating with Receiving, Production, and Shipping to prevent non-conforming

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in quality control in plastics manufacturing or related environment.
• Working knowledge of plastic/resin materials and contamination/issues.
• Experience performing inspections, sampling, or material verification.
• Ability to read orders, specifications, labels, and documentation.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate with hourly employees, supervisors, management, Sales, and Operations.
• Ability to work independently and make quality decisions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily QC activities and priorities.
• Provide direction, training, and accountability for QC staff.
• Establish and enforce QC procedures across Receiving, Production, Packaging, and Shipping.
• Ensure adequate and representative samples before approving material.
• Escalate significant quality concerns to Operations leadership.
• Serve as the primary contact for plant-level quality issues.
• Coordinate sampling and inspection across material handling.
• Maintain material traceability from incoming material through shipment.
• Investigate internal quality issues and customer complaints.
• Develop and track corrective actions and preventive measures.
