  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and equipment logs.
  • Follow cGMP, SOPs, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Load/unload materials and assist with inventory as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized production area and participate in sanitation activities.
  • Complete assigned work orders and monitor parts availability.

As the Plastics Processing Operator, you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plastic molding equipment used to produce pharmaceutical containers in accordance with quality and production standards. You will monitor product quality, perform equipment adjustments and repairs, maintain accurate production documentation, and ensure compliance withsafetyand sanitation requirements. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative production environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Set up, operate, and maintain plastic molding machinery and supporting production equipment.

  • Monitor container production to ensure finished products meet established quality specifications.

  • Inspect bottle quality, identify defects, and escalat critical quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor and major repairs as needed to maintain production.

  • Evaluate equipment performance and make operational adjustments with minimal supervision.

  • Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, cleaning documentation, and other required records.

  • Complete assigned work orders and monitor inventory needs for equipment parts and replacements.

  • Follow all cGMP requirements, SOPs, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety standards.

  • Warehouse finished products and assist with loading and unloading materials or shipments as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment and participate in required sanitation activities.

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Approximately four years of mechanical experience involving machine setup, operation, or maintenance.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hand tools, and similar equipment.

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and operating procedures.

  • Strong troubleshooting, recordkeeping, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team.

  • Ability to safely operate powered pallet equipment.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform work requiring extended periods of physical activity.

  • Comfortable working from ladders or elevated platforms as required.

  • Ability to successfully complete required annual visual acuity testing.
