Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School/GED.
• At least 2 years’ experience in plastics molding.
• Experience installing and setting up tools into molding machines.
• Able to work extended shifts and weekends.
• Familiar with GMP and ISO guidelines.
• Able to troubleshoot molding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot molding equipment to improve output and efficiency.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing for capability issues and improvements.
• Operate auxiliary equipment to support molding operation (mold temp control units, grinders, robots, pickers).
• Perform daily/weekly PMs as assigned.
• Participate on teams to help achieve operational goals.
• Drive molding process improvements (cycle time, cavitation, scrap reduction).
• Support process improvement, downtime reduction, cost reduction, corrective action.
• Assist in set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of molding equipment.
• Ensure safety and GMP/ISO compliance.
• Assist in physical inventories.

Job Summary

Responsible for increasing molding output and efficiencies by troubleshooting issues and developing new processes.

Essential Functions

• Functional knowledge of injection and blow molding machines.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing for capability issues, technical improvements, and daily processing activities.
• Operate auxiliary equipment to support molding operation such as mold temperature control units, grinders, robots, and pickers.
• Do daily/weekly PM’s as assigned
• Participate on teams to help achieve operational goals
• Drive molding process improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters.
• Support process improvement, reduction of downtime, cost reduction, and corrective action
• Assist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of molding equipment.
• Familiar with GMP and ISO guidelines
• Establish the parameters for an optimal molding environment
• Ensure the environment meets all safety requirements
• Operate hot/cold runner molds

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Must have good work and attendance record
• Experience with the installation and setup of tools into molding machines
• Ability to problem solve machine systems and auxiliary equipment
• Required minimum 2 years’ experience in plastics molding industry.
• Ability to work in a loud, manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary
