Job summary

Alphapointe is seeking personnel for the packers floor person and Mold Technician responsibilities, with a night shift from 11pm to 7am. The role includes operating machines, troubleshooting, cleaning and polishing molds and core rods, and performing QC tests on bottles.

Training others in box printing and packaging is also expected. Candidates should have a mechanical background or experience in a plastic-related field, plus basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastic-related field or a solid mechanical background.
• Ability to troubleshoot and address process issues.
• Computer knowledge and basic software use.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in startups and operate machines without supervision.
• Troubleshoot problems and report to supervisor or maintenance.
• Clean, polish molds and core rods; manage QC tests on bottles.
• Take over supervisor duties in their absence when needed.
• Train others on printing boxes and packaging to meet pallet requirements.

Job Summary

Train in all job functions relating to the packers floor person and Mold Technician responsibilities

Essential Functions

• To assist the Supervisor in startups and be able to run machines without any help
• Be able to trouble shoot problems so they can inform supervisor or maintenance where problems are occurring
• Be able to clean polish molds and core rods
• When the supervisor is gone heshe should be able to take over their job duties without question
• Have knowledge of all QC requirements on bottles and be able to perform all necessary tests on the bottles

Additional Functions

• Be able to help train others on how printing the boxes should be done as well as bottle packaging and on how many boxes should be put on each pallet

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Experience preferred in plastic related field or a good mechanical background
• Ability to troubleshoot and process issues that arise
• Computer Knowledgeable

Working Conditions

• Will have to go through all classes as required of Alphapointe employees and pass ninety day trial period
• Should also be able to lift push or pull up to one hundred pounds
• Be able to pull preforms off core rods using a brass tool in a timely manner
