Job summary

Trinity Plastics, Lewistown, PA, seeks a Process Engineer I to support production goals and quality systems. You will provide technical QA support, drive product trials, approve specifications and collaborate across production, quality and marketing teams.

The role requires a bachelor degree with 3 years in plastics, strong problem-solving, and experience in ISO/SQF/GMP environments. Occasional non-standard hours and audits are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 3 years’ experience in the plastics industry.
• Proficient working knowledge of all Microsoft Programs.
• Minimum three years of Quality Assurance and supervisory experience.
• Good problem-solving and project management skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work non-standard hours when required.
• Strong communication with managers and plant personnel.
• Design of experiment knowledge is a plus.
• Certification in quality management system auditing.

Responsibilities

• New process/product formulation development with QA.
• Oversee trial run process and approve samples as needed.
• Approve product specification, formulation and quality standards.
• Approve raw material and masterbatch selection and qualification.
• Prepare resin reports and ensure compliance.
• Respond to customer complaints and provide technical support.
• Support production, marketing and troubleshooting teams.
• Ensure ISO/SQF/GMP regulatory updates are current.
• Lead internal audits and communicate findings to management.
• Assist with procedure writing for ISO/SQF/GMP standards.
