Job summary

Closure Systems International, Inc. seeks a quality professional to support GMP/SQF manufacturing at the Erie plant. You will apply SPC/SQC, perform audits, and lead quality projects to improve product and process reliability.

Responsibilities include reviewing blueprints, collaborating with production, and implementing corrective actions. A degree in engineering and hands-on plastics QA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with manufacturing QA experience.
• Experience using quality tools and performing audits.
• Strong SPC/SQC knowledge and charting ability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and develop quality plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Qualify new molds and correct dimensional problems.
• Lead quality projects, SPC, DOE, and related tests.
• Troubleshoot process issues with production and technical teams.
• Maintain raw materials, in-process and finished goods specs.
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions initiated by QE.
• Develop and execute projects to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Ensure GMP and SQF compliance through microbiological testing and audits.
• Set up items in business systems and maintain quality plans.
• Manage internal audits and cover for key SQF responsibilities.
• Support Food Packaging Safety Program and SQF system maintenance.
• Identify root causes and implement preventive actions.
• Prevent nonconforming product shipments and drive continuous improvement.
