Altium Packaging in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician responsible for routine maintenance and inspections on all manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plus experience with diagnostic tools and maintenance software. You will keep precise maintenance records and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastics.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical capability for climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment such as injection molding machines, extruders, and auxiliaries.
Inspect, lubricate, replace parts, and clean machinery components.
Inspect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for issues.
Use diagnostic tools to detect wear or malfunctions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Document trends and report to supervisor.
Follow safety protocols and participate in safety trainings.
Suggest improvements to maintenance procedures for efficiency.
