Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years plastic industry maintenance experience including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to supply own tools.
• Ability to obtain valid hi-lo license.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental and OSHA laws preferred.
• Good performance record.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency through testing and job performance after training.

Responsibilities

• Perform required work for maintaining the building, presses, and associated equipment.
• Actively work to reduce maintenance repair and preventive maintenance costs.
• Assist in developing plans to reduce breakdowns related downtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions.
• Keep all work areas clean and free of oil.
• Minimize the amount of downtime associated with repairs.
• Properly complete and file all required maintenance documents.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and shifts.
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance activities in a timely manner.
• Participate in continuous improvement process as required.
• Participate in 8D problem solving as required.
• Performs all other assigned duties.
