Job summary

Midland Plastics, Inc. in New Berlin, Wisconsin, is seeking a Fabricator to set up fabrication and assembly of plastic products, applying cutting, bending and bonding techniques to produce parts on time and to specification. You will read blueprints, use precision instruments and hand and power tools to complete tasks safely.

The role operates Monday through Friday, with standard daytime hours. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills, and be capable

Qualifications

• High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to utilize measuring equipment.
• Able to read and understand verbal and written direction to include following work instructions and set-up procedures.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate strip heaters and/or press brake for bending.
• Set up and operate drill presses for drilling, countersinking, and tapping operations.
• Set up and operate table routers and saws.
• Frequently use hand and power tools.
• Set up and heat parts using oven or heat gun.
• Assemble parts and attach hardware using clamps, jigs, fixtures, power tools and fasteners.
• Apply adhesives to assemblies for bonding.
• Sand, buff, polish and clean product.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine methods and specifications.
• Maintain safe work area.

• Sets up and operates strip heaters and or press brake for bending
• Sets up and operates drill presses, for drilling, countersinking, and taping operations
• Sets up and operates table routers and saws
• Frequently uses hand and power tools
• Sets up and heats parts using oven or heat gun
• Fits and assembles parts and attaches hardware and fittings using clamps, jigs, fixtures, power tools and fasteners

• Sanding, buffing, polishing and cleaning of product

• Ensures safety of themselves and coworkers by keeping their work area clean
