Job summary

WoodMaster, Inc. in Greenbush, Maine is seeking a dedicated Plastics Fabricator to read work orders and blueprints, set up tooling, and operate plastic fabrication machines to build parts per design specifications.

You will conduct First and Last Article inspections, maintain equipment, ensure neat stock, comply with safety guidelines, and collaborate with engineers and production teams. This is a full-time, on-site role with overtime opportunities and a benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, blueprints, production documents or other information to determine specifications.

  • Identify correct thickness, type, and description of material.
  • Follow standard procedures for keeping stock and finished work neatly arranged and properly dispose of scrap.
  • Perform First and Last Article quality inspections based on engineering specifications.
  • Maintain tool inventory and keep tools clean and orderly.
  • Organize and stack parts neatly for the next operation.
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve and elevate any production issues to Leadership.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine.
  • Perform all tasks with a safety mindset.
  • Promote and follow all company safety guidelines and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Plastics Fabricators are responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing plastic components according to design specifications and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of plastic properties, and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality, durable products. Plastics Fabricators will collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Minimum/Essential Qualifications

Preferred Knowledge And Skills
  • Previous manufacturing experience helpful
  • Degree or certificate from a vocational school and experience with CNC equipment preferred
  • Previous Metal fabrication background or knowledge of tools and machinery
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Standing, sitting, squatting, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching and reach out to arm's length and reach overhead
  • Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.
  • Repetitive use of upper extremities
Compensation

starting at $20.00 - $22.00/hour with overtime available. These roles may also be eligible for prior experience, skill, licensure, and/or certification pay differentials that will be in addition to the starting pay rate.
