Axis Communications is seeking a Fabrication Technician to receive, inspect, and prepare materials for fabrication operations. You will fabricate, assemble, inspect, and package parts to meet customer specifications while upholding safety and Lean principles.
The role supports efficient manufacturing with a Monday–Friday schedule; starting hourly rate is $21.71, with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), vacation/PTO, and paid holidays.
The Fabrication Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and preparing materials for fabrication operations. This role performs a variety of fabrication, assembly, inspection, and packaging activities to ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements. The position supports efficient manufacturing processes through adherence to safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing principles. The hours for this position will be Monday–Friday 5am–1pm in the summer time.
Education & Certificates: High School Diploma or equivalent, required ability and willingness to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
Technical Skills & Experience: Proficient in the use of basic inspection tools and gauges, including measuring tape, micrometer, pipe checking tools; basic computer or reporting skills sufficient to complete production and inventory documentation.
Frequently interacts with peers across multiple departments, as well as with members of the leadership team.
Employee may be exposed to a considerable level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, and powered industrial vehicle (fork/reach/bucket lift/other). May occasionally be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Employee may be required to perform a considerable level of specific tasks, such as lifting up to 70lbs, muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes, visual attentiveness. Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, laboratory coat, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hard hat, and/or other. Employee may experience progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands).
