Job summary

Martech Medical Products, Inc. is seeking an Extrusion Operator for 1st and 2nd shifts at our Pennsylvania facility. You will produce medical grade extrusions, read drawings, set up equipment, and ensure quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produces medical grade extrusions of various profiles from simple to complex.
• Reads and understands product drawings to determine specifications and tooling.
• Sets up extruder and relevant tooling; prepares raw compounds for each run.
• Operates and maintains extrusion tooling, dies, mandrels, and related equipment.
• Reviews dimensions and measurements on drawings or routers before starting setup.
• Uses micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and rulers to confirm specs.
• Set-up/tear down and clean extrusion equipment after daily run.
• Completes all documentation for work orders per ISO procedures.
• Checks tooling/machines for damage or wear.

Extrusion Operator - 1st and 2nd shift

What you will be responsible for:

How you will contribute:

• Produces Medical grade extrusions of various profiles simple to complex.
• Reads and understands product drawings to determine product specifications and tooling needed for extruded tubing.
• Sets up extruder and relevant tooling. Prepares all raw compounds needed to start any extrusion run/batch.
• Operates and maintains all extrusion tooling, dies, mandrels, associated equipment.
• Reviews dimensions and measurements on drawings or routers before starting/setting up for the extrusion process.
• Uses basic measuring equipment to confirm product specifications, including but not limited to-micrometers, dial indicators, dial calipers, and rulers.
• Set-up/tear down and clean all extrusion equipment after daily run.
• Complete all documentation for work orders/routers as required per ISO procedures.
• Check all tooling/machines for damage or wear.

Qualifications –

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., i.e., raw material several times daily.
• Extrusion experience, medical grade tubing preferably.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve difficult technical issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, reasoning, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work well and effectively with others.
• Strong attention to detail and note-taking abilities.
• Punctuality.

Education / Experience:

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Prefer 2+ years minimum plastics extrusion experience.
