Martech Medical Products is seeking a Plastics Process Engineer to lead extrusion process development for medical tubing products. You will oversee validation, tooling design, and NPI initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to meet quality and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes process optimization, DOE/SPC methodologies, and the mentoring of engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in extrusion engineering or polymer processing.
• Experience with medical tubing extrusion development and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of thermoplastics and extrusion principles.
• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validations.
• DOE, SPC, process characterization and capability analysis.
• Experience leading validations and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the extrusion process development, validation, and sustainment of medical tubing products.
• Design, qualify, and maintain extrusion tooling (dies, tips, mandrels, fixtures).
• Lead IQ/OQ/PQ activities and process capability studies.
• Lead NPI, commercialization, scale-up, and technology transfer for extrusion projects.
• Drive continuous improvement: yield, capability, throughput, cost reduction.
• Mentor engineers and technicians; support customer audits and regulatory inspections.
