Job summary

IMMI is seeking a Plastics Commodity Manager to support the Sr. Global Commodity Manager in managing the thermoplastic processing supply base and related secondary processes, ensuring materials are safe, high-quality, and delivered on time to IMMI’s global footprint.

You will develop supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and drive improvements in cost, quality, and delivery while collaborating with Quality, PC&L, Engineering, Finance, Program Management, and Sales/Marketing to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management required.
Minimum 10+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience.
Experience with thermoplastic molding processes and related tooling/resins.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with data analytics and supplier performance measurement.
Familiarity with Oracle ERP and Supplier Portal.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute commodity strategies for plastics to align with company goals.
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for thermoplastic processing and secondary ops.
Build and maintain relationships with key supplier personnel.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements to achieve best total cost.
Initiate RFQs for new products or VA/VE projects and award accordingly.
Train suppliers on IMMI’s quality and delivery expectations.
Ensure uninterrupted supply and prevent line-down situations.
