Job summary

IMMI in Westfield, IN is seeking a qualified Commodity Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies for commercial seating components. You will work with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and logistics to secure high-quality materials while driving cost reduction and supplier development.

The role requires 10+ years in commodity management, strong negotiation and project management skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) and sourcing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM/Engineering/Business, or related field.
• 10+ years in commodity management or sourcing in industrial manufacturing.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier development.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) and sourcing tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier partnerships.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (PPM, OTD, PPAP) and lead corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and logistics on launches and changes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting and drive supplier development initiatives.
