Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group seeks a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join a broad reconstructive practice at Largo Medical Center, Largo, MD, and Tysons Corner Medical Center, Tysons Corner, VA.
The role covers implant-based and autologous breast reconstruction, perihand and facial reconstructions, and close coordination with our surgical oncology team. You will join a team of eight plastic surgeons with shared call and a 1.0 FTE workload.
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We are currently seeking candidates for a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery specialist to join our team at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Maryland, and Tysons Corner Medical Center in Tysons Corner, Virginia. A broad reconstructive practice which includes both implant-based and autologous breast reconstruction, post-weight-loss soft tissue removal, head-to-toe reconstruction of soft tissue defects in coordination with our surgical oncology team, post-Mohs reconstruction of facial defects, breast reductions, functional blepharoplasties, transgender top surgery, and other miscellaneous reconstructive cases.
Work in a collaborative environment with a group of 7 other full-time plastic surgeons. Call coverage for our patients which is split evenly among all plastic surgeons, and does NOT involve coverage of hand call. This position is listed as a 1.0 FTE, which is the equivalent of 40 hours per week and is reflected in the salary listed below.
Microvascular fellowship is preferred but not required; should have comfort and willingness to perform microsurgical cases, primarily in context of breast reconstruction (DIEP flaps), as part of two-surgeon team.
MD or DO Board Certified or Eligible in Plastic Surgery. Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
The starting annual salary for this position is $510,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
