Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• One year of healthcare/medical office experience preferred.
• One year of medical terminology experience is required.
• Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard is required.
• MA certification or EMT is preferred; BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, stocked clinical environment ready for patient care.
• Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for lab transport.
• Take vital signs and assist with patient flow.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays and payments.
• Assist with billing and document information in the electronic medical record.
