Job summary

Amcor is seeking a reclaim operator to process and recycle scrap plastic using reclaim equipment, supporting efficient production operations, and reporting to the Production Supervisor. You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact our success.

Responsibilities include loading, operating reclaim machinery, material efficiency, unloading trailers, and maintaining ISO standards while wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to drive a forklift.
• Extrusion experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot extrusion equipment is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience in a teamwork-oriented environment is a plus.
• Working knowledge of extrusion or converting equipment and processes desired.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.

Responsibilities

• Remove scrap plastic from piles and process material through reclaim machinery.
• Set up, operate, and monitor reclaim equipment to ensure specifications.
• Ensure efficient use of materials and reduce waste.
• Unload trailers and stock packaging supplies.
• Maintain ISO 9001-2000 standards compliance.
• Operate a forklift safely to transport scrap material.
• Follow safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
