Job summary

Serioplast, a global leader in rigid plastic packaging, is seeking a Machine Operator for our Mount Jackson, Virginia plant. Operate and monitor the machine, perform basic maintenance, and support troubleshooting to keep production efficient and within quality standards.

You will handle color changes, set recipes, record data, and assist the Shift Supervisor when needed. Fostering a safe, high‑performance environment with strong attention to process parameters and measurement accuracy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plastics molding technologies (EBM/SBM/IM).
• Able to read and use measuring instruments accurately.
• Able to operate manual and electric forklifts.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical/electronic systems.
• Familiarity with WCM standards and health, safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the machine and its parts to ensure efficiency and quality, supporting troubleshooting as needed.
• Manage color changes, adjust blow pins, clean the mixer, and perform routine maintenance on the machine and ancillaries.
• Know the machine parameters, set them, and set up/change recipes.
• Ensure proper handling of raw and post-production materials.
• Act as Shift Supervisor deputy when required.
• Fill out production documents, quality control sheets, and record data.
• Perform product checks with measuring tools and follow the control plan.
