Job summary

Serioplast, a Global Leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is seeking a Machine Operator for their Mount Jackson, Virginia plant. You will operate and monitor the machine to ensure quality and efficiency, manage color changes, and assist with troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.

The role involves setting process parameters, handling materials, and acting as a deputy Shift Supervisor when required. Training and career growth are available in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM/SBM/IM).
• Good applied knowledge of measuring instruments and techniques.
• Ability to operate manual and electric forklifts.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical/electronic systems.
• Basic knowledge of WCM standards.
• Basic knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment rules and practices.
• Diploma in electrical or mechanical studies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the machine to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Manage color changes, adjust blow pins, clean the mixer, and perform basic daily repairs; carry out weekly and monthly maintenance.
• Know the process parameters and can set up/change recipes.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials and post-production materials.
• Act as Shift Supervisor deputy if needed.
• Fill out production documents and quality control sheets.
• Perform product checks using measuring tools and record results on the forms.
• Support technical staff in solving minor issues affecting product quality and production.
