Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect machines at shift start, perform preventive maintenance, and address quality issues. You will support production staff and engineers, perform minor repairs, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, own basic tools, and be able to read technical manuals. A forklift certification is a plus; 12-hour shifts are involved.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Must own a set of basic tools.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend and climb for 12-hour shifts.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Able to read and work from technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all machines for proper guarding at start of shift.
• Identify machine priority level at start of shift.
• Verify machines are running proper cycle times at start of shift.
• Verify material loading system is not running behind at start of shift and after every break.
• Check grinders and hydraulic oil levels at the start of shift and after breaks.
• Record downtime and report machine issues.
• Provide assistance to Production team and Engineers.
• Perform PMs timely and fill out PM work orders.
• Make minor adjustments or repairs to address quality issues.
• Follow safety protocols and keep work space clean.
