Job summary

84 Lumber Company in Smyrna, TN is looking for a Maintenance Technician to maintain the equipment and physical plant of their manufacturing facility. Under direct supervision, you will perform scheduled maintenance, train operators, and ensure safety and quality standards are upheld.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and be familiar with electrical, hydraulic, and welding applications. This full-time position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and welding applications.
• Ability to read and write in their primary language.

Responsibilities

• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance of all equipment/machinery.
• Maintain equipment/machinery within tolerance of quality standards.
• Train operators on correct operating and maintenance procedures.
• Audit daily checks.
• Maintain a safe work/machine environment.

Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Able to stand for long periods of time

Education

Tools
