Job summary

Amcor in Shelbyville is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems on production equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance and document findings, while supporting emergencies and rapid repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires 1–3 years in an industrial maintenance setting, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and simple electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document issues/resolutions in electronic system.
• Respond to emergency repair requests including fire system issues.
• Operate machine tools (drill presses, grinders, welders, plasma torches) as needed.
• Weld fabrication (stick/gas) on various metals and positions.
