Job summary

Alexandria Industries is seeking a Plastics Injection Molding Press Operator to produce parts in the plastics molding department in alignment with customer specifications and company quality standards.

You will ensure production processes are accurate and efficient while maintaining safety and quality across the facility. The role emphasizes teamwork, continual learning, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety concerns and ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for production and quality checks.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training on site.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the top priority and maintain a safe work environment.
• Clean vacuum systems, clear alarms, purge the press, keep a tidy area.
• Operate the press for high-volume parts and inspect/package to spec.
• Maintain the stated part output and keep learning on the job.
• Be a team player; forklift certification may be required (training provided).

Pay or shift range: $18 USD to $24.40 USD. The anticipated pay range for this position is budgeted. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plastics Injection Molding Press Operator is responsible for making parts in our plastics molding department, while ensuring finished parts meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This position is also responsible for ensuring that production processes are accurate and efficient, and that safety and quality standards are maintained throughout all areas in the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.

• Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines.
• Cleaning vacuum systems, clearing alarms, purging out the press, maintaining a clean, neat, work area.
• Be able to run high volume parts and being able to inspect and package them correctly.
• Being able to maintain the quoted part per our output.
• This job requires the operator to be paying attention and keep learning.
• Forklift certification may be required, (will train on site).
• Be a team player.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
