Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and adjust manufacturing equipment for plastic film and bag products in a fast-paced environment. You will perform quality checks, troubleshoot minor issues, and support changeovers while following GMP/HACCP and safety standards.

The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning equipment setup, line efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols in production areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months experience as a Production Packer and/or 3–6 months in manufacturing in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup and Operation – Set up, run, and adjust manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products.
• Safety Compliance – Follow GMP, HACCP and safety policies; conduct daily inspections.
• Quality Assurance – Perform quality checks and adjust processes to meet specs and reduce scrap.
• Production Efficiency – Optimize equipment settings to maximize yields and minimize downtime; execute changeovers.
• Minor Maintenance and Troubleshooting – Assist with minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Housekeeping and Line Shutdown – Maintain clean work areas and properly shut down lines per procedures.
• Collaboration and Support – Communicate effectively with diverse team members; assist packing when needed.
