Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Extrusion Machine Operator to operate and monitor extrusion equipment ensuring efficient production of high-quality film products. This full-time role requires knowledge of multiple extrusion steps, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a 24/7 high-noise production environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in manufacturing, strong English communication, and the ability to train others while maintaining accurate production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in extrusion production or similar operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead and train team members.
• Fluent in English; bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and verify equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Assist with equipment set-up and production line configurations (extruder, die, tower, bag machines, winders, post gussetter, folder, press, separator).
• Periodically inspect finished film and take corrective action for substandard product.
• Train new operators on procedures, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and document production data; coordinate with maintenance and quality teams.
