Job summary

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Category Procurement Manager for Plastic to craft global strategies, drive supplier negotiations, and manage spend across the Plastic category. You’ll partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, PMO, and Plant Operations to deliver value and improve performance.

The role demands 5-7 years in sourcing or supply chain, experience in manufacturing, and strong data-driven decision skills within SAP/ERP environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of progressive sourcing or relevant supply chain experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Comfort with SAP/ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute global category strategies for Plastic aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end competitive sourcing events: requirements, bidding, supplier selection and contracting.
• Negotiate terms to achieve year-over-year cost reductions and better payment terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct periodic business reviews for performance.
• Analyze spend and market data to identify savings and productivity opportunities.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and monitor KPIs with data-driven insights.
• Advise stakeholders on procurement trends, best practices, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, PMO, and Plant Operations.
