Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to collect plasma from donors by performing venipuncture and managing the pheresis process in a compliant setting. The role includes donor setup, monitoring, and timely documentation of procedures and events.

Responsibilities include educating donors on the process, ensuring donor safety, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Experience in a medical/healthcare environment is required, with CA-specific phlebotomy or RN qualifications potentially needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment.
• For Centers located in CA, Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or current RN license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and pheresis procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor donor during pheresis and ensure safety and comfort.
• Record donor data and incident events using the PDA and EDIMS.
• Maintain clean work area and ensure supplies are available.
• React to donor reactions and escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment alarms and perform basic maintenance per SOPs.
