CSL is seeking qualified medical professionals to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to provide essential medical care in a plasma donation setting. The role involves donor interviews, medical history reviews, and collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

Responsibilities include assessing test results, counseling donors on reactive findings, and adhering to SOPs while escalating critical situations to physicians or local providers as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state certification as an EMT
• For NY: current state licensure or certification as RN, MD or DO in the state you are applying for work or in a reciprocal state
• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a health care environment
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine suitability to donate plasma.
• Consult with Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations as needed.
