Job summary

CSL Plasma in the United States is seeking a qualified medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and perform emergency medical care as needed. You will report to the Center Manager and operate under SOPs to ensure donor safety and compliance.

The position requires graduation from a paramedic/nursing/PA/chiropractic/medical school program, current licensure, at least one year in healthcare, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• US licensure or state certification as RN/MD/DO where applicable.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure/certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director to address donor questions and provide information on donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess donor symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer to community facilities for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local providers as needed.
