Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Medical Professional to evaluate donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis, administer approved immunizations, and provide limited emergency care within licensure.

You will work across plasma center operations, ensuring SOP, cGMP, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include reviewing donor history and records in NexLynk, monitoring for adverse reactions, mentoring staff, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a healthcare-related program; licensed as Physician, RN, LPN, or EMT where allowed.
• Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification per state.
• One year hospital or plasma center experience preferred.
• Current state license/certification (Physician, RN, LPN, EMT, or equivalent).
• Current CPR certification.
• State authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility via medical history reviews, physicals, and informed consent per SOPs/FDA/CLIA/cGMP.
• Review and document donor information, immunization records, and test results in NexLynk.
• Classify donors into programs and monitor for adverse reactions with appropriate care.
• Consult with the center Licensed Physician on abnormal results and immunization orders.
• Counsel deferred donors, maintain confidentiality, and refer to health departments when needed.
• Maintain documentation such as Physician Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
• Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as QA Backup when needed.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer.
• Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team for an efficient, donor-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
