Job summary

CSL Mustang, OK is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, provide limited emergency medical care, and interview donors to obtain medical histories for donation suitability.

In collaboration with the Center Medical Director, you will address donor questions, review test results, and counsel on reactive results. The role requires adherence to SOPs and escalation of critical cases to a physician.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic training program.
• For foreign medical graduates, must be licensed as physician or certified as EMT.
• For NY: current licensure/certification as RN, MD or DO or reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year of relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform and analyze physical assessments (heart, lungs, signs of drug use).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure/certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews for donation suitability.
• Answer medically related questions and advise staff on donor suitability with Center Medical Director.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess donor symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors about reactive test results and refer to appropriate facilities.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical situations to a Center Physician or local medical services.
