Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and supervise donor immunizations. The role involves medical care within licensure, maintaining donor confidentiality, and promoting positive donor experiences at the center in Flint.

You will work with the Center Medical Director to answer medically related questions, assess health records, and ensure safety per SOPs. Cross-training and bilingual capabilities may be required for this position.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure in paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic program or medical school.
• Foreign medical school graduates licensed as a physician or EMT in the state is required.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or clinical experience from a vocational/nursing program.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessments (heart, lungs, signs of drug use).
• Ability to instruct donors and staff on benefits of plasma donation programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and supervise approved immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff; administer medications per licensure.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director/Physician on medically related donor questions.
• Review donor test results to determine ongoing suitability and document findings.
• Explain informed consent and immunization schedules to donors; obtain signatures.
• Manage donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Maintain safety with Health, Safety & Environmental and OSHA policies; assist with routine audits.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed to meet business requirements.
