CSL in Richmond, VA seeks a medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to administer approved immunizations. The role includes limited emergency care for donors and staff, and managing confidential donor information in compliance with licensure and SOPs.

You will interview donors, review medical histories, respond to questions with the Center Medical Director, and counsel donors on test results and follow-up.

Qualificações

• Active state licensure to practice (paramedic, nurse, PA, etc.).
• Experience in donor screening or clinical assessment preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential donor information in a clinical setting.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer approved immunizations and provide limited emergency care.
• Conduct donor interviews to obtain information on suitability to donate plasma.
• Respond to medically related staff questions with the Center Medical Director.
• Review donor medical history and health data to determine continued suitability.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results and referrals.
• Explain informed consent and document donor consent accurately.
• Handle emergencies per SOPs and maintain emergency kits.
• Record donor data in the electronic management system accurately.
• Ensure confidentiality of donor, personnel and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills.
