Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking a qualified healthcare professional (EMT, LPN/LVN, or RN) to join our plasma donor center team in Texas. You will evaluate donor eligibility, manage medical incidents, and support donor safety in a regulated, fast-paced setting.

You will collaborate with the Center Medical Director to ensure regulatory compliance, provide donor care, educate donors on risks and informed consent, and maintain accurate medical documentation. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in the state of the center.
• Acceptable licenses include EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-A, Paramedic, LPN, LVN, or RN.
• Graduate of a recognized healthcare program (nursing, PA or advanced EMT).
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with plasma/blood collection a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and donor safety commitment.
• Familiarity with FDA/OSHA/CLIA/cGMP regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility and assess donor safety for plasmapheresis and related programs.
• Review donor health history and lab results; consult with Center Medical Director as needed.
• Educate donors on donation process, risks, benefits, and informed consent.
• Administer immunizations and monitor adverse reactions, documenting procedures.
• Respond to donor adverse events with appropriate treatment and escalation.
• Maintain emergency medical equipment and donor safety readiness.
• Notify donors of positive viral marker results and provide confidential counseling.
• Participate in safety committees and educate staff on medical protocols.
• Manage employee immunization programs and ensure SOP/regulatory compliance.
• Assist with plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures when needed.
• Keep accurate donor charts and review medical incidents
• Promote donor retention through a welcoming, safe experience.
