Job summary

CSL in Mustang, Oklahoma is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. The role includes interviewing donors, reviewing medical history, and interpreting test results to ensure donor safety.

You will collaborate with the Center Medical Director, escalate critical cases, and counsel donors on reactive test results while following standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an approved paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or certified in your state.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection centers is preferred.
• Ability to perform and interpret basic physical assessment of heart and lungs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, including administering medications per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• Work with the Center Medical Director to answer questions on donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess donor symptoms.
• Counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer for follow-up care.
• Follow SOPs for routine care and escalate critical medical situations to the Center Physician.
