Job summary

CSL is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures at the Tulsa center. The role includes providing limited emergency care, interviewing donors, and reviewing medical histories to determine donor eligibility for plasma donation.

Collaborate with the Center Medical Director on donor suitability, interpret test results, and counsel donors on reactive results. Follow SOPs and escalate critical situations to the center physician as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMT
• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience in plasma or blood collection center preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine suitability to donate plasma.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address medical questions about donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess donor symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer to community facilities for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical medical situations to the physician or local medical services as required
