Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety and adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under supervision from the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires a nursing-related credential (LPN/LVN or equivalent), CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include nursing program graduate with state requirements.
• Current LPN or LVN license in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage donor safety according to SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results (SPE) and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Refer issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs and related health protocols.
