Job Description

This role is a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reporting to the Plasma Center Manager, performing donor eligibility assessments, monitoring donor safety, and supporting clinical operations at a BioLife Plasma Center.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
• Review laboratory test results, including serological protein electrophoresis (SPE), and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Evaluate and document donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/EHS as required.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and participate in investigations of pandemic threats.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed as LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State requirements for basic IV therapy fulfilled.
• Completion of FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage range: $22.80 – $31.35. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, holidays, well‑being benefits, sick time, and vacation as detailed above.
