Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Medford, MA. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires a state-licensed healthcare professional (EMT, paramedic, or RN/LPN) with CPR/AED certification and experience in a clinical setting, plus FDA training completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed in state for EMT/Parademic or RN/LPN, CPR/AED certification.
• Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and inform donors of unsuitable results.
• Provide center-level medical support under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and incident investigations as applicable.
