Job summary

PepsiCo's Phoenix plant seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to lead plant-wide initiatives that boost productivity and efficiency, serving as the link between operations and enterprise productivity and sustainability teams. The role emphasizes turning analysis into action across multiple lines and functions.

The successful candidate will drive loss analysis, develop improvement roadmaps, and manage large-scale projects with cross-functional teams, leveraging Lean Six Sigma and other CI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering strongly preferred in related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing process improvement or operational excellence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data interpretation.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects in a plant setting.
• Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or related continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with value engineering, lightweighting, or material optimization initiatives.
• Project management experience or certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead horizontal process improvement projects that span multiple lines and functions.
• Drive productivity and PEP-positive initiatives aligned with plant and business objectives.
• Serve as the primary plant contact for strategic project, productivity, and enterprise-level improvement initiatives.
• Act as the plant “dock point” for initiatives including value engineering, lightweighting, material optimization, strategic productivity and cost-out projects, and rapid changeover improvements.
• Partner with Strategic Projects, Productivity Leaders, Sustainability teams, and plant leadership to ensure alignment and execution.
• Conduct loss analysis using standard manufacturing and continuous improvement tools; provide downtime and performance insights.
• Develop and execute large-scale efficiency projects; embed improvements through standard work.
