Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a qualified Utility Specialist Loader Operator to maintain a ready-mix plant and perform essential duties. You will operate loaders, skid steers, water trucks, man lifts, forklifts, and related equipment while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Hazard awareness for assigned areas.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Proper use of PPE as required.
• Able to sit/stand for long periods and lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily plant cleanliness and perform routine maintenance.
• Load, unload, and move materials as required.
• Operate loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Conduct pre/post-operational checks on equipment.
• Identify and report potential safety or maintenance issues.
• Work with plant management to improve productivity and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental rules.
