Job summary

CalPortland in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a full-time haul truck driver to transport materials from the riverbed to the quarry and other plant locations. You will drive safely, report incidents, and support maintenance checks throughout the day.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a clean Class C license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Candidates must work in varied weather, wear PPE, and follow safety and environmental rules while coordinating with team members.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a multi-axle haul truck.
• Haul materials to and from the pit and plant locations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance and pre-inspection checks on the vehicle.
• Communicate with team via radio and cooperate with others.
• Follow OSHA, MSHA, and environmental requirements.
• Enter/exit the truck repeatedly and work in rough terrain.
• Complete miscellaneous duties as required.
